In November the leading Czech market research company MEDIARESEARCH organised a workshop in Prague for clients and journalists called, ‘What are the ingredients of the TV audience pies in the Czech republic? Ask the bakers!’
The event focused on the methodology and scope of a measurement project for the Association of TV organisations regarding currents trends of TV audience. The title of the event is based on a Czech joke refering to pie-charts.For the workshop we created an infographic that explains the peoplemeter project in the Czech Republic and clarifies and provides information regarding the panel structure and other research conducted by MEDIARESEARCH in the field of audience measurement.It has been 16 years since electronic TV audience measurement in the Czech Republic first started. There are currently 1850 households participating in the panel. The data measured has an accuracy of 1 second.From 2013 MEDIARESEARCH also measures time-shifted viewing of TV programs, i.e. watching a program later than it was broadcast live on TV, with a time frame of viewing 7 days after live broadcast.
