PR 7 out of 10 kids read at least one book per month, but TV and computer still win as leisure activities

Up to 70% of children in the Czech Republic read at least one book per month; girls tend to read more than boys and parents can be a great help when it comes to their children’s reading habits – for example reading to them in the evening when they are small has proved to be very effective. These are some of the outcomes of the survey which was implemented by MEDIARESEARCH for Czech National Library.

Quantitative as well as qualitative methods were engaged in the research, children from 9-14 years of age took part in it.
