MEDIARESEARCH, provider of the Czech people meter project, has been selected as the supplier of electronic TV audience measurement in Estonia for the period 2015-2023, in association with its partner, Turu-uuringute.
In winning this tender, the Czech research agency MEDIARESEARCH expands its activities into another European country. Towards the end of last year, the company succesfully completed a representative national panel of households for TV audience measurement in Bulgaria.The Estonian association of TV broadcasters and media agencies, EMOL, decided on MEDIARESEARCH and Turu-uuringute as the winners of the tender at the beginning of February. Research companies such as AS Elien, GfK and Nielsen also participated in the tender.The main task of MEDIARESEARCH is to deliver its SimMetry technology, which is based on audiomatching and which is independent of the form or manner of TV reception. MEDIARESEARCH will also support Turu-uuringute in other aspects of the TV audience measurement project.In Estonia, as in the Czech project, MEDIARESEARCH will use SimEar, its latest generation of non-intrusive measurement devices.“We are very pleased that our high-quality technology has been acknowledged in another European country as well,“ said Tomáš Bičík, at MEDIARESEARCH responsible for Business Development activities. “Thanks to our technological and analytical know-how, developed and proved in the Czech Republic, we definitely have a lot to offer other countries.“
